I remember when 9 flew over my hour last summer. Such a fantastic sight, especially with the lancaster in tight formation with them acting as an escaught.

nothing more enjoyable than gazing at a Spitfire over head. Its got to be the best sight and sound ever, and I am not even old enough to remember them in wwii.We had one fly over Plymouth this evening in a memorial flight, what a sight !!

Absolutely fantastic film. During WWII my grandfather spent time in the south of England with the army before the allied invasion of france. He said he always remembered the cheer that went up as various British fighters went past and how the pilots would rock their wings in acknowledgement. Those young men were incredible.
