judas priest is great, but i think black sabbath were bigger metal pioneers than judas priest. But Judas Priest definatly gave meatal a rougher and more hardcore sound.

I was at this concert. I was in the Army at the time and my roomie was from Memphis so we stayed at his brother's apartment and saw priest. I did massive amounts of acid and drank a fifth of Jack. Puked all over some chick during "Tyrant"... good times...end of an era
