I think derek is the ONLY main character to never be in the hospital for treatment correct? I hope they are together now but shonda is going to have to get creative with the storylines now. I would love to see some big gorgeous house being built for them when the show starts. Get Derek out of the trailer ;)The kiss was good but they have had better.

I dont wanna be negative, but the writters always make it impossible for them, so probably after he leaves he's gonna have an accident or something and he wont come back and shes gonna stay waiting for him, its pretty weird that something good happens after an approachment between them.

At one point they were together.. In Season 2 after the whole bomb thing.... and just before Denny got there, he was really jelous. So he has always had sort of feelings for her... But I don't think he is exactly begging for sex, I think he wants Izzy to comfort him... and he thinks that he will get it by having sex w/her... but obviously he just needs a shoulder to cry on... hope that helped.
