I also remember when the gas here in St. Louis,MO dropped to $1.99 a gallon, I believe it was around Thanksgiving of 04' or 05'. But like you said it's been one lame excuse after another why it must increase. And "We The People" are just takin it...We're all DOOMED if no investigations are acted upon, no matter who's in the Whitehouse!!!!

This sounds just like what happens with the refineries--when nothing else is happening it's: "They've had to shut down this or that refinery for maintenance". They learned with Katrina, the first time gasoline topped $2.00 a gallon. It was wonderful and it was such a disappointment when everything was over. I remember one time very briefly when gasoline dropped to $1.99 after Katrina--and boy it never happened again, because from then on it was one reason or another to restrict supplies.

i actually don't remember writing that comment, but i obviously must have.Anyway its my sense of humor. It was a joke against flawed government thinking (thatcher did the same in my country). Its dumb to privatise things like utilities because there is no competition.regardless its impossible to "privatise the government"... it would then become a company.My comment was a joke but yours was serious. Chill out man. We're not 'fucked' thats a terrible philosophy to have.peace

I remember when the same day that the Supreme Court ruled that Bush had won the 2000 election, Enron announced that electric prices in California were going up by a ridiculous amount.
