Borg was absolutely mesmerising; a total enigma with god-like status; he was like some kind of superhuman. There was an enormous gap between him & the rest of the pack. It is hard to convey just how superior he was; it had got to the point where other players were totally intimidated by him & believed he was unbeatable. Hence the shock when McEnroe beat him. There is no-one comparable to Borg - no-one who has that kind of total domination not even Federer since he has not yet won the French.

Borg - THE best - the fact that he won the French and Wimbledon titles in the same season 3 years in a row shows what a great tennis player he was! To go from clay courts to grass courts. That is what makes him the greatest tennis player ever!

Mcenroe was SO much more talented than Borg. I'm glad he won the 1981 Final and should have won in 1980. Obviously Borg knew he couldn't come out on top again, so he quit. Sampras would clean both their clocks at Wimbledon.
