This Video is from taken from the Video Game "Star Trek Legacy" and about the origin of the borg and was V'ger has to do with it. I think it is a very interesting addition to the Star Trek Universe.

Hello! It was Voyager 6, not the first two. In that timeline there were at least 6 Voyager probes.

No no, V'Ger ended up going into a black hole and ended up on the Borg planet in the past and in the Delta Quadrant. That's how the Borg were born, they took up V'Ger's mission, only for them assimilation was the only way to gain knowledge.

Correction, it was Dr. Crusher who said that in the 21st century, the Borg are still in the Delta Quadrant. And once again it's Deanna Troi not Diana Troi.

I agree, this explanation of the borg is ignorant, I'm disgusted by it, I think it's better to just leave the borg's origin a complete mystery

This explaination is an epic failure!

This doesn't make sense in the timeline that its supposed to happen in.

ST: Legacy is NOT canon. It never was and it never will.

No, you see in that Star Trek timeline, NASA kept sending Voyager probes. On their own, the probes could never have traveled as far or done so much as Voyager 6, and were probably destroyed by Cardassians or something. But Voyager 6 ended up going into a black hole and ended up in the Delta Quadrant apparently where it ended up on Borg Prime supposedly sometime in the past, so then the machines decided to assimilate to gather information and to better themselves.

Well there already was a machine planet, but then Voyager with its mission of exploration and gathering knowlege to better itself ended up there somehow, probably from a black hole which made it go farther than it ever was supposed to. The machines helped it with all the upgrades they could give it and then they too adopted the Voyager's mission, but of course their solution to understanding Humanoids was assimilation.

Well you got me there, and your right, she only watched classic trek and TNG as I recall her stating. Oops!
