I just thought about this song the other day, that´s it´s got nothing to do with irony. Besides most people over here abuse that expression all the time, using it for things that´s got nothing to do with it? It´s a good word though... Great comedy, I enjoyed it!:D

Our english teacher used that song to teach our dumb-as-a-box-of-rocks top set GCSE english class the meaning of ironic. She clearly had no clue. Me and my mates just sat in amazement at the stupidity of it and gave up trying to change anyones mind about that irritating song. |
