He has such great control and concentration. Does not need altissimo to make a powerful statement. To all the young kids out there, learn this. I play in two bands as a tenor saxophone player and only need the altissimo on an exclamation point.

hes actually the only guy that can play like "this" whatever this is. You might mean playing loud and soulfully, you might mean playing repetitiously and really getting into one note, you might mean playing with a backbeat. Also not quite clear as to what you mean as smooth jazz, but if its bullshit then I would agree its not this. won't be hearing this in the elevator anytime soon I dont think...
