No, I'm from Western Europe. That's why I'm so shocked because I didn't think that there was still such poverty in Eastern Europe.

Ummmm...What?!?! The Romanian authorities most certainly do not spend billions on weapons and construction projects. They spend that money on mansions, cars and girls for themselves. You're not from Romania, are you? I live in Denver, and about a 1/3 of the homeless are kids, are we're the 5th richest state in the union. What more can I say??

Do you know what happened to the other kids from the film?
Kynos1 (March 25, 2008 at 7:27 pm)
This is incredibly sad to watch. Why do Romanian authorities spend billions for weapons and big construction projects and the like when there is such incredible misery in the country? But it is also a shame for the EU that it doesn't actively help and that it doesn't put more pressure on Romanian authorities. All they talk about is Africa although there is also great misery in Eastern Europe.

I was going through Bucharest last week. I had to go through Piata victori on my way to the airport. I met Macarena (yes she is still there) She lives in an institution and is looked after to some degree. She told me Cristina still lives on the streets but is very rarely seen. I will visit her again in June and try to find out about the other children. Any info i find i will post. thank you all for watching the vid and taking an interest. e4cn . org

Please do not give up or lose faith. One child help is another saved soul. My heart for you and your work. Do not exploit, help the child. It has it's own rewards.
