This is why we live in a world with "crossovers"...So people are not forcing a driver to produce frequencies it is physically incapable of. I will not bring up the subject of a proper enclosure as it was already covered by another audiophile...In a nutshell... this video proves that the Zapco is a better amplifier and that professional audio equipment should be kept out of the hands of the inexperienced. Thank you for your time.

therefore you have a midrange driver sitting there trying to battle frequencies as low as 20Hz, as high as 20kHz, as well as the range it was designed for. When powered by the Zapco, the driver will sound more muffled because there is simply more of a fight to produce the audio playback accurately...with the Optimus there is obviously less of a fight because of the lack of driver control. This battle or fight I speak of fries voice coils.

Wow...It's the mad scientist of car audio! A beefy 12 volt power supply that could jumpstart 100 Buicks, residential light switches, patched speaker wire, a tabletop stereo feeding a full range signal into a driver designed to cover the midrange band of audio reproduction ONLY. On a technical level...the reason the Optimus sounds better than the Zapco with full range jammed into midrange driver is because the Zapco has a greater slew rate and damping factor...(driver control) shall we say...

I mean really, What does this prove or disprove?Neither speaker is in it's proper enclosure. You might as well sit them both in a pan of water to see which one causes the most ripples.

I'm speechless. From the light switches to the comment about "I can't tell the difference"What a joke.
