This is a rare pirate game from a company called "Hummer Team", released in 1997.Despite the title (Donkey Kong Country 4), this game is actually the first Donkey Kong Country translated to the NES. In the video, I show what it's like on the NES.The music and sound effects are direct translations of the original (taken from the SNES version, reduced sound quality to become possible on the NES), so at least a few things should be familiar. The graphics, while no where near as detailed as the SNES version, look great for an NES game and pretty much max out the systems' graphics capabilities.Aside from the obvious, here's some other differences:-Passwords replace save files-You start out with 25 lives instead of just 5-There are no map screens, except for the one that shows the entire DK island-Because there are no "area" map screens, you automatically begin the next level after finishing a level-Boss music speeds up every time a boss is hit-Diddy has DK's strength, so enemies that required 2 hits when using Diddy just require 1 like DK. Also, because of this, aside from their looks and signature moves they're identical (jump the same height, run the same speed, have the same strength)-A lot of levels are missing! For example, the jungle (first) area only has 4 levels (including the boss battle)-The water levels are significantly shorter. The first one, for example, only includes about 25% of the level from the SNES version.-No bonus levels-Funky and Candy are no where to be found, so no flights or save points (no save points makes sense, since the game uses password saves instead)-Rambi, Enguard, Winky, Expresso, and Squawks (the animal helpers) are also missing-Though he does make an appearance in the intro, Cranky doesn't appear anywhere else in the NES version so Cranky's Cabin is removed-Original ending has been removedEnjoy! :)-Mega Man 5 (a.k.a., MegaMan52)

rule number 1: POIDH!pictures or it didnt happen.Nah I'll take your word for it.Must have been created a lot later than original NES games... maybe the scripting was more advanced to accomodate the shading and 3D sprites.

This is an excellent quality pirate! My only complaints are that there is no difference between characters, levels are shorter and that there is not nearly enough of them. They could have also added at least a couple animals but maybe they couldn't add any because of the hardware limitations. It might have caused slowdown.

the GBC version has better graphics and different music. In fact the GBC version is pretty much like Donkey Kong Land for the original GameBoy...

...I enjoyed Frogger for SNES D:.Also, it doesn't look half bad as a nes game, SNES is better though.

Sorry to have to correct your "fact", but this isn't the GBC version. This is the NES version, a pirate. It was released in 1997, a year before GBC was released.
