Most Smiths songs can just be appreciated on a 'oh that's a witty line, jolly good ol' chap' or a 'nice guitar riff there sonny jim' basis. 'How Soon Is Now' on the other hand, works on a more primal gut retching loneliness level, perfectly capturing the going out to a club where you go and you stand on your own and you leave on your own and you know the restAlthough your life just isn't complete if you haven't heard the Tatu version.
