I thought his singing was quite good. Except for that X factor. He didn't seem to connect with the audience in the way a true frontman would.

the song, love ain't no stranger also is a bad ass song...do wish they would have kept ths lineup and wrote more tunes like this,they would've been more popular

totally agree... he rejuvenated Thin Lizzy when he joined and then Whitesnake...His Blue Murder album wasn't half bad - tho he could have done with a real top notch singer on it instead of singing himself. It also got a little caught up in trying to remind everyone who co-wrote most of the toons on Whitesnake '87
