Does anyone have a video of Hubertus riding this kür in 2000 with the Westphalian mare My Fair Lady? I remember the music from then and the fact that the horse in this video has a resemblence to her.

It does not matter to me - the money, how expensive the horse is (or is not) or how man triumphs over beast.......it is.....simply....beautiful and breathtaking!Thankyou to the rider, the trainer, the whole team (especially the grooms)- the choreographer - all of you......simply - gorgeous!

A rider does need money to compete at this level. Even a baby horse of this type is very expensive. No one is finding wonderhorses in someone's backyard any more. They are expensive. Then the work and training ALSO has to be very good, and the horse will need many years of training.

At the top of the sport all the riders are very similar and have very similar methods and amount of experience. The horses are also all very similar in ability and natural blessing. It is a little strange to hear people say this one is so much better than that one, they are all fairly similar. There are little details of difference. Hubertus is called the 'Trainer's Trainer' because he often had lower quality horses when he first started, that he did better with than one might expect.
