im pretty sure my beagle barks when people leave him alone. but he has gotten a lot better with that in the yr that we had him. it definitely helps to crate him. we borrowed a crate from a friend to see how he'd react to it. well, he loved it, went in it on his own, loved to sleep in it and he felt secure. we didnt do it for very long at all b/c he didnt need it after a while.

beagles are wonderful doggy companions! :) excellent breed. lucy looks adorable, i wish we had our beagle when it was a tiny puppy. We got him at 1 & a half yrs old, he is still playful and so adorable tho. we get endless compliments on how attractive he is. we rescued him from the highway last year, he is our love. :) beagles are the best! good luck with your new friend. :)

aww, I love beagles when they're puppies. Mine was really fat when he was a baby, he looked like a puddle when he layed down, it was sooooo cute. :)
