Larry had a great jab, but a lot of people overlook the fact he had a hell of a chin too.

Larry's jab was smoother and harder hitting. He was exeptional using it as a counter punch. You are right, Ali's was faster and he used it as you describe, however, i don't believe it opened up things quite as much as larry's did.Larry's jab also hurt like hell

Ali's was faster and he could throw it going backwards,to his left,to his right,etc.Holmes jab worked best when his opponents were standing right in front of him.

Larry had the best jab out of all the heavyweights. His jab is a thing of beauty.

Not to mention a brutal straight right (I recall Randal Tex Cobb taking the best straight right from Holmes I've ever seen. Of course, Cobb had a head like a rock and just smiled. A normal human being would have been asleep for a month). I remember this fight. I think Holmes was ranked #4 and Norton ranked #1 at the time. I became a Holmes fan during this fight.

man i understand why ken keeps his arms like that when he hits you damn u can feel it and i love his body head combination beautiful well larry is just poetry in motion most underated champion ever instead of ppl talkin bout holyfield they shud be talkin bout larry holmes had the best jab of all time

seed88 the reason why you don't see it on espn classics because before espn Bill clayton had it u know the guy with the glasses ex manager of prime tyson him and jim jacobs had the largest collection he sold the tapes off to espn so i fink he never had the tape to this fight
