You would need to read up on wiki to know. Apparently, Rin did an incomplete summon and that's why he doesn't have all his memories.

archer is shirou. at least he's a thousand times hotter than the younger version. anyway,i personally thinks that shirou's just a stupid character. so, yeah. although it pains me to admit that archer (my fav servant... damn) is the brainless shirou, it's true. i love rin's character more than shirou. if she knows that shirou will drag her down, she wouldn't revive him at all. (but that is only my wish... in my dream)

and as if u guys were asking y dont archer having the momories dat actually he is shiro, well dat is a good question.. do u guys remember dat at the first rin wanted to summon saber which is consider the strongest servant,but some accident occur dat make rin unable so summon saber an accidentally summoned archer.. dat accident make archer(which is originnally shiro) lost his past life's momory~~ Hope u guys understand my explaination~ any question pls play the game: Fate/Hollow Axtriathx ^^

archer is shiro dat is true~ if anyone ply fate/stay night's game will know it.. after shiro dies when he gone older he has been offer a opurtunity to bcome a heros for the holy grail war by the Hall of Hero(some kind of greece's myth)~ for shiro bcoming a hero is the oni way to met saber again therefore he agree to be a hero and and has been granted the name ARCHER... well dats the story.. anyone who ply the game FSN/FHA will knw tis story..
