I have the same, but don't take anything. Have problems with too much hairs, where they do not belong to etc. It's not very nice, but not deadly...

It's horrible for this lady, but they do focus on the most extreme form of PCOS here... most women don't have such severe symptoms. A bit overdramatised...

My wife has this and it's really disrupting her mentally and physically. PSOC is something doctors don't seem to care about or even want to study. There are of course some that only study PSOC, but there are only tough disicions involving to rid the syndrome and it's really not fair for women. So the next time you make fun of women over-weight, remember that it isn't their fault. They are born with the diagnoses and can not be reversed, only slowed down. What can we do? Help gain awareness.

Skin tags suck. I had the problem with growing hair in weird places, i had to be put on medication for it. Wow.. her periods were like mine when i was her age, except for the cramps.

I have had PCOS for a little over 11 years. I was 25 before I was diagnosed. I got my first period when I was 14 and didn't get it again til I was 16 my Mother was worried so she would take me to the Dr. and his solution was to put me on the Pill. I never felt right though. I had all the symptoms of PCOS at that time but the Dr. didn't know alot about it. When I finally was an adult I couldn't take it anymore and found an endocrinologist that helped me. I am 36 now. I still have my days though! |
