I love this concerto - it's one of my favourite pieces of classical works. And no disrepect to Bach's original string version, but I think it sounds better with a few woodwind parts written into it to add some extra texture.

The close-up shots exaggerate the seemingly excessive body motions of the performers. Unfortunately, musical details are somewhat glossed over by the slightly, I say slightly fast tempo. It's much easier to play music at a fast tempo, but race-to-the-finish-line tempi are usually musically lacking. Everyone marvelled at Horowitz's fabulous piano technique, yet his tempi were always completely under control. It was his musicality and total understanding of the score that were truly fabulous.
