Thanks so MUCH! for posting this, just got thru reading "Hotel CA" about CSNY, Joni Mitchell, Jackson Browne, Linda Ronstadt, the Eagles...and this poor soul Gram Parsons. May he rest in peace knowing that there are people out there who still remember him. After hearing this, makes me want to seek out "Flying Burrito Brothers" and others. Great book, by Barney Hoskyns, gives one a really cool insight on the whole "California rock" sound. Thanks again.

Gram parsons rendition of this song is unbelievable he put that hank williams emotion into this song,He sings his heart out and it gets me everytime.

The GP recording on Burrito Deluxe is credited to Jagger/Richards and it came out in 73?? Sticky Fingers was released in 71. I've heard it said that Parsons gave the song to Keith Richards though.

Who actually wrote this song? Gram Parson sings it with the most emtion and passionwithout a doubt.Once heard the Stones stolethe song from GP? The writer of a song sings with the most emotion and feeling.. as youhear in most of Gram's songs!
