There are 2 A/P disengage buttons. One is the white bar on the MCP and the other is on the control column.

I am a bit confused. I thought the A/P was disengaged by pushing the white bar on the MCP panel. On this video it seems like you push a button on the yoke. Can you explain?? Thank you.

That's the pitch trim switches. It's used for trimming the aircraft.

at :15, what are you pressing on the collum?

Sort of - if the plane was below the glideslope, you will need to pitch up a little to capture the glide slope again. By pitching up, more power is now needed to maintain the speed. So now, the A/T will automatically increase power. That column you've described is called the VSI - vertical speed indicator. It shows you the current vertical speed in terms of feet per minute

if the auto throttle was auto, does that mean if ur plane is below the glide slope the auto throttle will automatically increase power? is that how it works? also, on the flight display, there is a column with an arrow pointing upwards or downards on the right side beside the altitude column. can u tell us what that is?thank you

It depends on which route you take. The most direct route will be through the airline's ab initio program. That will take about 2-3 years. |
