I really like how in their growing success that they went from "The Amboy Dukes" to "Ted Nugent and The Amboy Dukes" to "Ted Nugent's Amboy Dukes".I just thought it was a fuuny coincidence.I wander if that bothered the rest of the band?

Things were VERY different then. Especially for a guy from Michigan. You had to have grown up there to understand.Ted was always a Patriot.

Considering the photo of a youthful Bill Clinton gleefully burning the American flag, I'd have to say his patriotism was/is most definitely in question.

TED did dodged the draft....that of course does not mean he is NOW not a true patriot...i mean if that is the case and its NOT than bill clinton is not a patriot as he dodged the draft and certainly stripped down our military when he and hillary rottenbottom clinton were running the show....

No, not the only famous person to have dodged, but the only one I know of that is so vocal about his supposed "patriotism" today, and so willing to "lead the charge" from the safety of the Nugent homestead.holydiver...we all make allowances for our heros, but if one wants to be honest, Ted is just a little bit more "yuck" when it comes to his hypocrisy, seeing as it entails an almost gleeful call to arms for young people today, when he was so unwilling himself to do so back in the day.

do you think he is the only famous musician of the 70s or 60s that dodged the draft. I am sure ther are alot but just because ted nugent is a republican he gets alot of shit from it. at least he had the balls to admit he dodged it. People like jonsblutooth are the same stupid hippies that were dodging the draft also.
