A few of the male gender seem to be wondering what all the fuss is about. Perhaps I can shed some light. The alluring Mr. Darcy is the product of a highly intricate equation, which is as follows: handsome + tall + power (may also substitute "protection/security") + a tiny bit of shyness (may also subsitute "sensitivity") + the ability to change for/adhere to a woman = A walking Darcy DREAM of a man (theory developed by Miss Jane Austen) =)

Ditto. I say we request to jump first so that he may be "obliged" into giving us an encouraging "whack" from behind with his crop :-0Good heavens, karielle81, what impropriety is THIS! Shame on you.

Ohh that Darcy phenomenon. Perhaps I can shed some light. Colin Firth became hearthrob material by this role. Yes, he was your typical handsome man, but he also portrayed Darcy(a powerful man) as being..a bit shy - an enticing element to the whole alluring Darcy character, of which ingredients are as follows...handsome + power(means protection/security) + shyness (sensitivity) + adhering to a woman = a walking DREAM. Secretly, its really Darcy I love. Good thing for you guys he doesn't exist =)
