Completely wrong ...There was nothing at all before the dawn of Hinduism, the Vedas were written much later, and there they mentioned it.Dawn of Hinduism is NOT the time-period of writing if the Vedas at all, the knowledge imparted by Vishu had passed orally from Generations to Generations till finally it was written down.your "now long gone and forgotten" civilization is nothing but Hinduism itself.Read the vedas carefully and in proper perspective, you would realise the truth.
