The assumption because I live in Berlin I must be German is exactly my point, mate. But there's a solution! Living in the USA was sort of like eating at McDonalds. Yes, it's a hugely successful company... but I'd rather eat at the little family-owned place around the corner. Don't worry if you don't understand why. It's probably all that 'pledge of alliegance' brainwashing you've suffered.Don't get me wrong! I'm going to forgo the usual quip because I'm curious to know if you mean that. Do you really think the world is jealous? I studied in the States... and couldn't wait to leave. Your country is plastic, shallow, and ugly.Yes, you live in the richest, most powerful country in the world... but if Europe becomes one you'll no longer be the richest. Give China another decade or two and you'll no longer be most powerful. What then will you fall back on to offset that you're a laughingstock?
