Sorry but much as I like them (I have all their stuff + boots) I wouldn't call Bad Company who were signed to Zep's Swansong label a reincarnation of Free. They were way more commercial with Rodgers living out his dream of having a stadium band like Zep and dropping the blues influences or at the very least relegating them to a poor second to the commercialism.

Does anyone know where this performance is from? It certainly doesn't sound like the "early" version of the tune, played live up here in North East England (and elsewhere) in 1969. It's more like the single edit of the LP version, so probably a TV performance on the back of the hit single in 1970 rather than 1969.

do you guys remember the band that Kossof had before or after Free called Kossoff Kirke Tetsu Rabbit?I used to have this album. They only did one but boy this was some hot stuff - back then I prefered this to Free - because Free is more commercial. In fact as we speak I just ordered it on amazon... |
