Yep, Letterman may be a long-time host but he's a long-time host because he's one lucky.....people caught onto Letterman because he is cocky as Hell. As Hell. And you notice how often Letterman interrupts people without letting them finish half of their sentence? Letterman is the most cold-hearted and retarded late-night host in TV history. Dave, you suck man. You suck.

i don't discard the fact that harvey could be a jerk as well, but letterman pushes bottons gratuitously. american splendor is nothing but poetry. in short, if you like charles bukowski, then you have nothing to say against harvey pekar.

He didn't come back on the show for 6 years after this one, though. Plus Harvey has always maintained that it wasn't staged and it seems unlikely to me that he would purposely allow Dave to be so disparaging about American Splendor.

I don't know. Its just its similar to his other appearances on the show, which makes me suspect that the whole thing was expected.
