Not only that she is an incredible opera singer and her husband who graduated with her in Art. Both have Masters degrees and now there are no jobs. They owe hundreds of thousands for their education and one is working now in a flower shop for minimium wage and her husband is a secretary! So sad and they are so talented. So much for art, music and any kind of creativity here in California.

I'm in CA and my son is entering Kindergarten. Everything has changed. In our school district there are now 30 children to one teacher and no more arts and crafts at all for kindergarteners!!! Thank God he is in an SDC class. He has the only class with art and crafts and only 18 students and two teachers. Home Schooling was overturned by Arnold thank God, but I heard that you have to be a certified teacher. It is ridiculous. My cousin just graduated as a music teacher...can't find a job.

in terms of educational indoctrination systems, art and dance are usually the first things to go when it comes time to cull the budget. so i think he's looking at it from the inside of the 'education' sector. i like the idea behind the free-flowing home schoolers; give the kids the infrormation they'll need to survive, and any other teaching is guided solely by the child's interests and wherever they lead them. as a kid i couldn't wait to get out of school and to the library to REALLY learn.

Well, whatever your interest is. I don't think aptitude tests are necessarily wrong.

uhh... i dont think so. i totally agree to what he said.. my aptitude test said that ill be a great chef. and i am good at cooking and i love it as well.. unfortunately my folks are making me study architecture instead.
