Regardless of what you think of Nazism, the Wehrmacht was a fine fighting force. The vast majority of them did NOT sympathize with the Nazis and actually looked down on the SS. They were just fighting for their country. What happened to most of them on the eastern front was really criminal. They were betrayed by the military "genius" Hitler!
