I'm not saying that VAI (the A is before the I) and other guitarists in his genre weren't influenced by the likes of Hendrix and Beck, but you have to take into account that they absolutely do not record the same types of music. The point of my analysis was to prove that one user's comment was naive and showed little signs of intelligence. And for the record, I own all the G3's, so don't treat me like some sort of uninformed moron.

Yes that is true but you are not thinking of other facts also. SRV did lots of Jimi Hendrix covers. And so did via. If you look up G3 with Malmsteen, Via, and Satriani playing Voodoo chile, you will see that in some ways all musicians are linked together.

Is this a popular band? I have never heard of "Gamalon" before....To be fair, I am from England lol.If they are a famous band.......I am a fan! I am a drummer myself....Very nice!

I disagree. Her speed and articulation are at least equal to that of Vai. Though, musically and melodically, she is not doing anything groundbreaking. You also place Jeff Beck and SRV in the same category as Steve Vai. This assessment is naive and shortsighted at best. One cannot simply group a shredder of Vai's ability with two men who spend the majority of time in pentatonic boxes simply because they have all recorded some type of guitar instrumental. |
