One of the first runs of a nearly new SAITO FA-30S four stroke I purchased on eBay. Running SIG fuel with 20% oil, 5% nitro. OS type F plug. Bolly 9.5x6 prop. The engine had been purchased with minimal run time, and needed more running in. After a couple more runs it settled down on a steady 10,600 rpm with a Bolly 9.5x6. For comparison, both my OS MAX-S .35 two strokes pull 11,200 rpm on the same prop and fuel, with an OS A3 plug. Unlike the vast majority of engines like this, my Saito is destined to be used in a control-line stunter, as I'm not an R/C flyer.

I have no idea how big the tank I was bench running with then. That's an R/C clunk tank that I use for bench running. For flying control line stunt with a .30, a 3oz tank gives about the right run time (6 or 7 minutes).

how big is your gas tank, and how much run time would you say you get with that fa-30s

Hell yeah! A .60 twin based on the .30 would be a lovely engine. There is a real gap in the market for twins smaller than around 1.20 displacement (2 x .60).

wish Saito would made a 60T with the angled valves from the 30's top.
