I feel there is a tendancy toward hero worship where we lose our objectivity, John Coltrane unfortuanatly has so many tenor saxophone players of all abilities hanging on to his coat tails copying this style which is seen as'modern' and yet is @50 years old...just think we need to shake things up a bit...

I agree this is art but I am just making the point that we can still be critical of something without being seen as a heretic!By its nature Jazz is a spontaneous art form and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt.

You're entitled to your opinion, and there is great virtue in pleasing an audience. That being said, this is an utter work of art. If one prefers something more along the lines of Justin Timberlake, that's fine, but it's not exactly self-betterment.

McCoy Tyner had an album cover that looked like a national geographic magazine. I remember just think how dope that was for back then, as a youth. Many, many years ago. Camera works nice, most of the time. Beautiful people. Eric Dolphy was on his to becoming a jazz god too.

When my ex and I were settling up possessions, I went to take my old boom box that she'd been listening to at work. When I opened it, there sat a Kenny G CD.I let her keep the boom box.
