Not all supermarkets give u the option of "paper or plastic?" All three of my local ones, for example, start bagging your things either as they're rung up or while you're paying for them. Regardless, I plan to get a couple of these bags and insist "No bag, I have my own!" as my items fly past the scanner and bag them myself. If anything, I'll still tip the bag-person for bearing with me, LOL!
