no one is good, all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Good news though, He sent Jesus christ to die for our sins and forgive them, so our sins are forgiven. All a person has to do to get to heaven is accept this free gift.Believe in your heart that Jesus died and rose again, and confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord you will be saved. (Believe with your heart not your head) I can show you in the Bible if you like

In Isaiah 64:6, it declares our "righteous deeds are like filthy garments." Believe me 99minerkc, you will need the righteousness of Christ imputed to you through a repentant faith on the day of judgement. It is always better to align your mind with Scripture than to have Scripture align to you.

I surmise you need to rethink your thinking because it is not Scriptural. Look at Isaiah 64:6-in it our self-righteousness is declared as "filthy rags" in the sight of God. In other words, if you plan on standing before Christ at judgement, on your own merit and righteousness, He will simply say, "Depart from Me, I never knew you." What you need is the righteousness of Christ's to become your own and the only way to do that is through a repentant faith.

without getting to far afield how to children come to the lord ?? how about babies .. how about old testement righteous men of old prior to jesus , men in distant lands and those of different faiths ? Some things we have to be honest with ourselves and say .."you know ..I don't know ..But I know and trust that our lord god is sufficient and has made a more than fair way for all men to be saved because of his great love . Because of what I DO know about GOD I know he makes a way for them.HOW ?

99minerkc, PLEASE listen my friend. Jesus said that "broad is the road that leads to destruction and narrow is the way that leads to life and few find find it." It is possible for you to walk the narrow road if you give your whole life to Christ and let him be the Lord of your life. He has promised to give us the grace that we need to live an obedient life before him. It doesn't matter what any man tells you, only what Jesus said and those are his words. May God's love overwhelm you today.

I like the attitude that if I live a good life I'm going to heaven!! I used to sweat bullets because I thought I had to live on the "narrow" road and or wouldn't get into heaven! I think I can relax a bit now and enjoy life knowing I'm going to heaven cause I'm a good person!!:)
