Because a lot of the people are Beatles fans and would like to have their opinions heard. Just because you don't like what they have to say, doesn't mean they shouldn't say anything.

I understand that. But because a song is a good childrens song doesn't make it a great song. Christ, I love Octopuses Garden and that's a childrens song (unless you think it has sexual undertones) I'm sure you have fond memories of this song and if you enjoy it I have no problem with that. All I am pointing out is that if this song were to have been recorded by another artist, the majority of people would not like it. This is just my opinion. I also want to point out that I LOVE The Beatles.

With respect, you're missing the point. This is a kids song. I was eight when it was released and it was simply the best thing ever (I drove my parents mad singing it all day long)! The fact that this incredible band released such a song just indicates their warmth and humanity. From Yellow Submarine to Helter Skelter via A Day in the Life - they were truly a phenomenon.

i agree, i love the beatles but this song really is trollop. And your're right, if it wasn't under the name of The Beatles everyone would go on about how shit it is.
