I just had to give my two cents on the beer issue. In my opinion, drinking is not a sin; getting DRUNK is the sin. Just because some people are convicted about something doesn't mean that ALL people will be convicted by it! Paul writes about that. A stumbling block for me, might not be one for you and I shouldn't hold you to my convictions. Read Romans 14:1-23 Legalism is unfortunately alive in the church people!! Let go and let God!!!

ButterflyMom777, did you see my point about the wedding at Cana? Jesus turned the water, into WINE. Why? Well, because they wanted more, alcohol. Weddings would last for days back then. Water would've been suitable to drink...but no, they wanted more wine. So, if they stomped grapes back then, with NO refrigeration, then there would most likely be, a VERY high percentage of alcohol in the wine. I find that VERY interesting, don't you?

I don't think the comment was PATHETIC at all. The beer thing, could be an issue, we don't really know for sure, do we? Take the wedding at Cana, where Jesus turned the water into wine. Think about it. WHY turn water..into wine. Well, it's VERY simple...they wanted more WINE! So, if the water was fit to drink then, and IT WAS, why turn the water, into fermented grapes. It would've had the same affect then, as it does now. They also..."partied" for days back then at weddings. Interesting, eh?

Well greatgonz, you have a point here. Maybe it is irresponsible of Don to be seen drinking a beer on this video. In my HUMBLE opinion, it's NEARLY impossible, to not cause any one person to stumble. If someone has has/had a problem with alcohol consumption, then they should pray about it. Don is probably NOT an alcoholic, so, does that mean he should NEVER have another beer, or just, not in certain company?

I agree Ipd0084. I believe the beer was Corona extra. They made a joke about it at the end of the video. In the Bile, the religious leaders of the time, called Jesus himself, a "wine bibber". Proverbs 20:1 says Wine gives false courage; hard liquor leads to brawls; what fools men are to let it master them, making them reel drunkenly down the street. Judging is where we make the mistake. Just because Don is drinking a beer here, and singing about Jesus, is not nessasarily a sin.
