Rodrigue, in my opinion, the defict was not worth it(our friend Outgamessucks thinks he is the only one with basic business skills...he amuses me with his anger :)). You're right, it was a good thing for all levels of government (showing support of Canada's governments for gay events). Importantly, it was well organized (albeit it financially mismanaged) and brought together talent & resources. It took something simple and notably mismanaged (Gaygames)and made it better.

A 5 million dollar deficit was worth it, consider the hundreds of millions of dollars made by Montréal businesses and millions of dollars made by Montréal, the governments of Québec and Canada in sales taxes. Air Canada made millions off of the hundreds of thousands of gay men and lesbians from all over the world coming to pour money into Montréal's economy. A five million dollar deficit is a small price to pay for the ammount of money spent and the positive PR that Montréal received.

I don't think you grasp the importance of a $5 million deficit, a cabal of lying deceitful greedy dis-organizers, and the negative effect this fiasco will have on the future of gay events, and gay sports events, Christopher. You're too busy being a blind whore for this event and have no clue whatsoever.Perhaps a basic education in business and accounting would help you and your Outgames criminals.

Excellent?...but what a waste of our tax money (little scandal in montreal) on a over ambitious , politicaly correct event. That money (spounsors, subventions) could have gone to artist that need little grants to do what they are good at. What was it 2. something....million?. yeah what a show!every one smiled one night, while hundreds of struggling talented artist wait their lotterie of grants to pursue their passion,and pay their rent. Thanks for your little private party.
