yeah i agree--i just couldnt call it hiphop, cuz clearly the music isnt, but the drums are. this is what trip hop would sound like if it was up-tempo.

I somewhat get what you're saying and it IS hip hop...but then sometimes you'll get peeps looking for something specific. Like if I wanted I'd search midwest rap and you'd get a specific sound..or east coast and you'd get more of a boom bap sorta sound. West coast you'd have more of a g-funk thing goin on in most cases. If you know what I mean

To be honest this isn't the best example but Trip Hop is very different than Hip Hop, just look at DJ Shadow for example, you'll see what I mean ;]

Just call it hip hop dude, because thats really all it really is. Trip hop is a vague term anyways. Sometimes I get the feeling people call their beats trip hop just to be different from others. *awaits the onslaught of thumbs downs*
