Moroccans use both of the names, "Casa" or "Dar el Beïda", it is no problem for them. The oldest name, as far as I know, is ANFA. These days, this part of Dar el Beïda is what we call "the old medina", the mellah included.

Since I am Catalan my question to Arabiansoultan was ironical. Nevertheless I wonder why today authorities have not modified the name in the same way that Fernando Póo now is Malabo (Equatorial Guinea).

Albert, the language of the word Casablanca, is Spanish; the name of the city in Arabic, is Dar el Beida. Dar = house; Bjad or Beida = white. :) :)
