I recomend you to listen Enselme's CD recorded this "La Pastorare" of A.E.Chabrier 1841-1894 a comporser who infruenced to many famous comporser by his power of ART. especially This "Idylle" this song is like M.Ravel's Pavane pour une infante Defunte .. Please listen a part of this song.. by Solo COntrabass of Ear-copied hahaha

It would be interesting to speculate whether Chabrier's interest in all things Spanish was where Ravel picked it up from as well.

Very nice! I know the orchestral and piano versions of this melody very well, but have never heard it like this before. I read someplace that hearing this tune made Poulenc decide to become a composer.
