Greetings, friends here...I happened to make the cover, no joke. So if anyone has a question? Not that I can promise to answer them, but I can try at least, it all has so many layers, you know. . . and will be forever unforgotten.

Hammill is god

This album and In Camera were Hammill's best, and most intense. Even now I can barely listen to them--they probe into the darkest depths.

I remember lending this album to a friend of mine who was a Nick Drake fan. I handed it to him and said 'this makes nick drake look like happy music'. The enxt time I saw him he handed me back the CD with a disturbed look on his face.

If one goes to the site: vandergraafgenerator(dot)co(dot)uk(slash)peter(dot)htm, there is an interesting article called "Four interviews with the enigmatic Peter Hammill" and in 'interview 4' there is his explanation about the meaning of this song!Anyway, thanks for this upload Crepuscule, this is probably my fave song of his third solo album!... |
