thanks to globalization their status is worse tan ever. I call them gypsies (cigani) and not Roma people since they honestly do not care what they are called and refuse to indulge in meaningless fights and politics. They have always been their own kind of people, enjoying simple life, dance and song with simple pleasures and not slaves to the material, nationalistic, political and social. For that I deem them the only true human beings on this planet. Keep on traveling!
