I was there for the first time in August of 1993 and remember this strip. This IS the strip to me and remains burned in my memory. Been back too many times to count since then. Was there just a few weeks ago and just like each previous visit it seems to get colder and colder. Sure the mega resorts are cool to look at and comfortable to stay in, but seem so impersonal and so cold now. It is like vegas lost it's soul.

I really appreciate you uploading this video. From the time I was born (1982) until I was 18 and the El Rancho came down, I'd visited Las Vegas 6 times. Legacy, neon Vegas is a permanent fixture in my memory and I have many vivid recollections from my childhood of being overawed by the scale and magnificence of those lit up streets. Las Vegas had a unique, paradoxical wild-west appeal among the flashing bulbs and neon signs, a style now abandoned in new, sophisticated Las Vegas.

Thank you for that trip down memory lane as I was living in Vegas at the time of your filming. I was also there for the Dunes implosion. This video was Vegas just as I remembered it. Also brought back some good memories. ty again

True--the Frontier sign is still there...but so far the owners have rebuffed the neon museum's attempts to acquire it...it is deteriorating badly....

Let's hope the Neon Boneyard can acquire the Frontier sign--the Dunes sign was a true Vegas icon and missed by many.
