The true essence of music is to stir the soul, move the spirit, and capture a moment in time, unlikely to be repeated the same again. Mr. Fean is such an artist, a musician, a percussionist of the highest caliber, to be applauded for the huge part he plays in the making of the music of Celtic Woman. C

A good friend of mine (who plays the drums) is visiting Ireland right now. I told him that he needs to buy a Bodhran while he is there and learn to play it. What a great sound! Ray is an incredible drummer. Thanks for posting this.

Played with ray in 1977 in shannon ,we had a lot of fun together playing and writing.I always knew he would go far as his talent was unreal.ROCK ON RAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was cool, watching him on Celtic Woman has inspired me to learn to play the Bodhran which I plan to do this summer. I saw Celtic Woman on April 16 in Portland and I basically knew all the songs but one of the best parts of seeing it live was the percussion, you could really feel it especially during the song Mo Ghille Mear where Ray Fean uses the really big deep drum, it practically shook the stadium!
