I don't know. I'm skeptical because if I was there myself, like one of those two older American guys, I would try it myself. It was a little disappointing that they didn't try to push the Qigong guy themselves.

Coooooool....this was demonstrated with me once in a local park, by a man who did Kendo...I tried my hardest to affect him, and he said that he was using my own force to stop my efforts...very impressive....Thanks :D

The 'master' is no different than a stage hypnotist getting audience members to do stupid shit. At 3:33 he uses a classic trick anyone can do. I like the quote at the end of the vid. 'come on Andrew, it doesn't look real.' cause it ain't real.

You have to discipline yourself but like.....a million fold to get to his level....and thats over a course of many years.

Thespians!!!! Why would he not actually do that to Bill Moyers?

Yeah, have to agree there. I'm not what I'd call a great martial artist, but I would have at least tried a hip throw, leg sweep, or even a single or double leg take down. My experiences with chi though, have so far only been from a healing perspective. I can't say I've seen it used offensively.

The way the white student tries to throw the master at the end of the video is so FAKE. He claims to have studied several martial arts, and yet his throw looks like a 6th grader's bully throw. Why not use a proper Judo or Aikido throw? How about actually trying to manipulate the joints? What about a small-joint manipulation throw (banned in MMA)? No, he just grabs his arm and tries to lift his whole body at once. That wouldn't work on ANYONE standing in a decent posture.

Chi is real, and it exists... as the 22nd letter of the Greek alphabet. |
