Bebop was pretty dark once it explored spikes back story, I think Black Lagoon seems more grim because of the setting, Bebop being the galaxy and Black Lagoon being Roanapur a town for gangsters. And I wouldn't call Black Lagoons music metal, no idea what genre it falls into actually. But your right there are very few similarities, Mr. Chang reminds me of Spike tho

I've heard so many comparisons between this series and Cowboy Bebop. Aside from the obvious "reagtag crew of misfits get into crazy action-packed misadventures" set up, thats where the similarities end. Black Lagoon is darker, heavier, more somber and mean-spirited compared to the playfulness of Cowboy Bebop. Bebop was Jazzy and blues oriented and set in the future, Lagoon is more metal oriented and set in the now (manga says 90s). Both series are badass in their own right but are different

Still really like this song for some reason. probably just because of the intro to Black Lagoon. One of the best anime intros ever.

Buen AMV. Black L fue una de las series que me han gustado bastante. A pesar de que el final es un total desastre, no me dejó para nada decepcionado, puesto que ya desde antes se va viendo que la serie no puede acabar bien, puesto que no es una serie con final feliz ni inicio ni intermedio, es trágica pero con bastante acción.
