I don't understand why people compare them to Nirvana. They're not really that similar to Nirvana. Can't we just enjoy each band's music for what it is?

Woe Hold up man! I'm an MC. And believe me the crap you hear on the radio now days is TRASH when it come to Hip-Hop. I sound nothing like them because that sh*t ain't real. Now as far as silver chair, I own every last album they ever made as in bought, not downloaded. I also own Nirvana and think they sound different. This is one of my favorites from SC. I see some similarities,but so what,everyone knows that Nirvana was more punk than Silverchair. Silverchair does a punk song and automatically it's a rip off.It's a little like Nirvana but I mean of course they'll imitate some of their style. Nirvana was and is the biggest band in grunge music. Daniel probably idolized Kurt.

That exists with all popular genres.Look at Hip-hop now, everyone sounds the exact same. I could hear like 10 or 20 different raps on the radio and not even be able to tell the difference between the different artists. Grunge was the same way in the 90s, the best ones of the lot are the ones people are still listening to. But hundreds were buried beneath the overplayed airwaves. If you listen to Nirvana and silverchair, like actually listen you will notice there's a distinct difference.

Honestly I don't see much Nirvana rip-off material here. I mean Kurt barely played drop-d,he has a different stance,the videos of the 90's were always this weird and their vocals are very different. Kurt's voice was very harsh as Dave Grohl said "it sounded like he was boiling nails in there". Silverchair's more psychopathic yet mellow at the same time.
