I was very disapointed with the movie also. It didn't even begin to do the book justice.

I nearly had a seizure when the ending of the movie cut off before the death of Roger. It ended with such an upbeat, sweet message of hope, it made me sick. I adored the books because they were never sweet. They were dark, and gritty, and cruel, and beautiful. Sadly, the movie failed to capture that.

such a brilliant series of books they are absolutely amazing. the film is good, but i think if you've read the books it just can't compare. the end of AS...

I for one am itching to see SK and AS brought to the screen. I was ever so sad at the end of the 3rd, and I wonder who they'll get to play Will. He sounds so darn cute in the books, and I don't mean just physically, but how he grows to care for Lyra. Actually haven't seen the film in a while, so I'm gonna go watch it now. I honestly can't see why people don't like it, or the books. Guess it's cos some people just can't be satisfied.

I've only seen this movie once. If i can remember correctly, i don't believe that the ending of the movie was the same as the book. In the book, roger died at the end. In the movie, he didnt. I dont know how they are going to make the next movie with roger still alive...that kinda makes me mad cus the books were amazing.

i just read the trilogy and i think it just freakin rocked! the only thing i hate about it is the end of the The Amber Spyglass...if you are a girl and have read the books you probably know what i mean. its still makes me cry TT^TT but thats just me

The character, Lyra is only 10 years old! Do you hear 10 year olds shouting all the time?
