I can see where the whole "douche" comments are coming from. But think about how boring this would be to some in the audience if he just stood there. If you cant, just listen to what hes doing and dont watch the video. Hes doing a lot of this to get the crowd into the show. And to those that are saying this is repetitive/boring, go back and just listen to your Backstreet Boys. Timing and rhythm are the basics of all music. Some people dont actually like to let a computer do all of the work.

instead of breaking it all down to rudiments etc, try to just to listen to what it is. Don't listen to technique, listen to the music. Ivan here, created a couple of catchy beats using just a snare drum. 95% of the videos ive seen with DCI drummers havent had any of that. Ivan plays with his heart, and that's what creates music, not just being fast or knowing good rudiments and so on.
