Obviously incredible musicianship from all; Brian is so fluid and "in the moment" with his playing. Truly expressive, beautiful and inspiring.

I love how into the playing he gets. Everyone should try to move like he does, like get emotionally involved in the music. Its actually inspiring.

Chris Thomas on Bass, Jon Hart on guitar, Myron Walden on Alto, Monte Croft on vibes, and Jon Cowherd (composer) at the piano. This isn't the Fellowship Band. This was the Subterranean Sextet. Fellowship band= Melvin Butler, PhD on Tenor/Sp, Kurt on gtr..etc.. Jon and Brian compose most of the material, this one is Jon's. And a great one it truly is. Crooked Creek. He has my vote also for Composer o the year in 2008 (for the (return 0 the)prodigal son, j.cowherd;)new verve album Season o Changes

I was there as well. Wasn't it great? I'm embarrassed to say it was my first exposure to Rosenwinkel and his tone was astounding and very moving. I'm also convinced Blade is the most expressive accompanist on drums there is. The alto/tenor front line was also quite good.

he is now. the band's changed from 02- Drums, Bass, Piano, Guitar, Alto, and Tenor. saw them this week at the vanguard, amazing group.
